How it works

Four steps. No software. No login required for step 1.

Designed for homeowners who aren't designers. You don't need to know what "transitional" means or how to read a mood board. You just need a phone photo of a room and a rough sense of the vibe you want.

01
Snap
Take a photo of any room on your phone. Wide-angle if possible. Daylight if possible. It's forgiving.
02
Pick a vibe
Tap one: Warm modern · Moody · Minimalist · Scandinavian · Mid-century · Coastal. Or describe it.
03
Render ×3
Three different renders of your room in that vibe, in about 45 seconds. Pick the one you like.
04
Shop
Every object in the render has a shoppable link. Tap a pendant light → Amazon page. Tap a rug → Wayfair.
When this helps

Before you call a contractor. Or a designer. Or your partner.

You have the photo. You have a feeling. You don't have clarity. HandeeFriend takes 45 seconds to give you the "oh — THIS is what I want" moment.

🛋️

"What would this room look like with..."

A darker palette. A different couch. A bigger rug. Instead of guessing — render it.

💍

Convince your partner

You want warm modern. They want coastal. Show them both rendered on YOUR space. Fight settled.

🏗️

Before the contractor quote

Show a contractor what you want instead of describing it in sentences. Their quote gets more accurate.

🛍️

Shop everything in the render

Every object is linked to Amazon, Home Depot, or Wayfair. Buy what you love, swap what you don't.

Amazon, Home Depot, and Wayfair pay us a small commission when you buy products through the links in your render — at no extra cost to you. Prices are identical whether you click our link or go direct. That commission is why we can keep the free tier actually free. Full disclosure.

Before you ask

The honest questions.

Is the free tier actually free? What's the catch?
Actually free. No card required, no hidden paywall. The catch is three renders per month — enough to test the product, maybe render your kitchen and one bathroom, pick a direction. If you need more, Plus is $9.99/mo. We can afford the free tier because when you buy products through the shop links in your render, Amazon / Home Depot / Wayfair pay us a small commission. That's the business model.
Do I actually have to buy through the links?
No. The links are a convenience — every object in your render has an "also available at..." shop link if you want to buy it. You can ignore all of them, screenshot the render, and go shop on your own. The free tier stays free either way.
How accurate are the rendered products? Will what I buy actually match the render?
The sourced products match the STYLE of what's in the render (a rattan pendant in the render → a similar rattan pendant from Amazon). The specific product might be a close match rather than an exact replica — sometimes the exact model shown is a one-off from a designer's archive. For big-ticket items (sofa, bed, rug), you'll get a close visual match that ships this year. For small decor, expect "very similar" rather than "identical."
Can I use this for a room I don't own yet — like a rental I'm considering or a new build?
Yes. All the app needs is a photo. If you have a listing photo from Redfin, a builder's model-home shot, or a phone pic from a walkthrough, that works. You can render the same space in 6 different vibes in 10 minutes on the free tier and see what you actually want to live in.
Is this an AI thing? Will my photos be used to train models?
Google Gemini powers the rendering. Your photo gets sent to Gemini for the render, then the response comes back. Google's current Gemini API terms state that API-submitted images are NOT used for model training unless you explicitly opt in (which you can't, from our app). We also don't keep your photos on our servers — we're a lean operation that doesn't warehouse user data.
Do you work with interior designers?
Yes — we also sell Designer plans starting at $99/mo (30 renders) with Designer Pro at $199/mo (100 renders) for busy studios. That's a completely different product experience (branded PDFs, Pitch Presenter mode, 4K output on Pro). If you're a homeowner, stay on this page — you want Free or Plus.
Cancel anytime?
Yes. Plus subscribers cancel in one tap from account settings. No phone calls, no retention script. You keep every render you've ever made, forever. We don't paywall your past work.
