This disclosure exists to comply with Canadian Competition Bureau guidance on influencer and commercial-relationship transparency, the U.S. FTC endorsement guidelines, and the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement. It explains — in plain English — how HandeeFriend makes money when you click a product link.
Our relationship with Amazon
HandeeFriend is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and its Canadian equivalent, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. We also participate in comparable programs with Home Depot and Lowe's. Every product link tagged Amazon, Home Depot, or Lowe's inside the HandeeFriend app or on this website is a tracked affiliate link.
What this means for you
If you click one of those links and buy the product (or sometimes a different product, during the same visit), the retailer pays HandeeFriend a small commission — typically 1% – 8% of the sale. You pay the exact same price whether you click our link or go to the retailer directly. You are never charged extra because of us.
How we pick products
Product selection is driven by our AI's matching logic, not by commission rate. The AI picks items that fit your task, your budget tier (Basic / Standard / Premium), and the regional availability of the retailer. Commission rates are identical across most categories of a given retailer, so there is rarely a financial reason to prefer one product over another. We do not accept paid placement, pay-to-list fees, or "featured product" sponsorships from any manufacturer.
Render Studio, Condition Observer & PDF exports
The Render Studio, the 3-Tier Repair Condition Observer, and PDF exports do not earn affiliate commission. Those are paid features of the app. Product links inside the render output and the condition observer's "Source Materials" list are the only places where affiliate commission is possible.
